I am a qualified embroiderer, mixed media and textile artist based in Walton on Thames.

As a child I was encouraged to draw and stitch, developing a deep passion for these hobbies that would continue into adulthood.

In the year 2000 I qualified as an embroiderer but was unhappy with the design element of what I was producing, so I put down my needle and thread and picked up a paintbrush, embarking on a journey, which took me to many art classes, workshops and courses using many different art mediums and studying a broad range of subject matter such as portraiture, life drawing, still life and a personal study of light and shade. I don’t think I will ever stop learning new techniques and adapting my style, this is what drives my passion for art.

Today, I enter art challenges and submit work to London galleries to exhibit.  I have also completed many pet portrait commissions and opened my garden as an art studio to exhibit my work. In 2022 I ran a series of introductory alcohol ink workshops from home and I regularly sketch en plein air with some like-minded art buddies.
